Skates U.S. is the best source for mounting high-end skating boots and ice blades. Skates U.S. will mount just about any skating boot to any ice blade with the care and precision. At Skates U.S., we take our time with mounting and strive for accuracy.

Blade alignment and mounting should be consistent and accurate. Our methods reflect the best alignment and mounting methods used by the experts. Our methods and procedures are ideal for modern skating equipment.

When mounting to Edea skates, blade sizing is very consistent for each size and between models, please use the Sizing Chart available at the Learning Center on SkatesUS.com. When mounting Edea skates, Skates U.S. mounts using the special Edea screws which have a combination high-low thread system (one bites and one grips). Pilot holes must be drilled completely through the sole of the boot and the bottom level of the heel, so that the screws can seat properly. Once the blade is aligned and located, SkatesUS.com installs screws in all Mounting Holes available (as long as it is physically possible). When properly mounted utilizing the Edea screws, no additional water proofing should be necessary.

Skates U.S. mountings are backed by a thorough knowledge and understanding of skating. A professional mount is important to allow a skater to perform at their best.

IN SHOP PLUGGING OF OLD MOUNTING HOLES

In shop plugging of old mounting holes for roller frames or ice blades in skating boots.

Skates U.S. will plug the necessary holes with Edea Carbon Filler Plugs. We will epoxy in the Carbon Filler Plugs and then sand the surfaces, both inside and outside, to provide a good mounting surface. This process requires several days to complete due to the drying time of the epoxy glues and fillers. Skates U.S. reserves the right to recommend that this process not be attempted if the skating boot soles have excessive amounts of holes or the skating boots are beyond their normal useful life.
